Stable identity for this segment across list changes.

When the segment list is replaced (items inserted, removed, or the list re-gridded around a surviving value), segments whose identity survives keep their underlying elements instead of remounting — only genuinely new cells build. Falls back to label; segments with neither, or with duplicate identities, get fresh cells each time.
